Rwanda : Radio flash pledges 10 M Rwf for Agaciro development fund
Flash FM, a local radio station based in Kigali has pledged 10.08000 Rwf to the Agakiro Development Fund, a fund initiated by President of Rwanda as home grown solutions.
The cheque was received by vice mayor in charge of economy, Gasabo district, Jean Claude Munara at Radio flash offices, Kimihurura.
“It’s important to see the media supporting the initiative, apart from advocating through coverage but also donating cash into the fund,” Jean Claude Munara, an official in charge of finance and economy in Gasabo district said.
Radio flash FM is second private radio after Radio 10 to donate to Agaciro development fund.
“In radio flash we have Rwandese and foreigners as employees but every one contributed willingly to raise the donated 10.080,000 Rwf,” Louis Kamanzi, Managing Director of radio flash revealed.
The funds collected in Agaciro will support the country in different developmental projects like constructing schools and roads.
