Rwanda : Former Orinfor journalist weds in UK
After wedding officially her long term UK born fiancée in Rwanda, former Orinfor journalist Rukundo Jean Batiste left to UK where both couple has married in front of his English fiancée family.
Rwandan born Rukundo Jean Batiste married Angela Alford a British citizen on Saturday 22nd at St. Michael and Angel’s church in Manchester City.
Rukundo was flanked by his former friend and workmate at radio Umucyo Madjaliwa, who remained in London after recent Para Olympics games.
Rukundo wrote on his face book wall that “Am amazed to see my family documentary and friends in Rwanda wishing me a good wedding day and family with Angela”.
While working on Orinfor as a journalist, Rukundo scooped different awards basing on social change caused by his stories.
Before leaving to UK, he won 25000 USD from RGB awards meant for media practitioners that created good change among the public.
It is estimated that Rukundo will pursue his studies in Salford University in Manchester City in 2013.
